Prone To Wander

“Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it, prone to leave the God I love.”

Those words from the old hymn “Come Thou Fount” still ring true today. Every believer knows the pull of a wandering heart. The danger isn’t just in running from God, it’s in slowly drifting away from Him. That is a scary position to get into, because oftentimes, we end up further away than we ever even realized. That’s why we must daily “tune our hearts” back to His grace. Stay close to the Word. Stay anchored in the gospel. Stay connected to the church. Left unattended, our hearts wander, but by His grace, they can be brought back again and again.

I’m thankful you’re at HSMBC today! I can’t wait to be back with you!

Sermon will be brought by Bro. Ashten Green
