Unworthy

When I started this “From the Pastor’s Desk” thing I told you that there were possibly a wide variety of different things that I may put on here. Among those things was just sharing what’s on my heart. I want to do that this week.

I am truly at awe and amazed at what God can do for and through His people. I hope you don’t take this the wrong way when I say this, but we are nothing. When you step back and think about it to a God who not only is above all others and everything, but He literally created them with words and power, we have nothing to give to Him that is worthy. Yet He uses us for His will, His honor and His glory! Can you fathom? We mess up and break His heart and act unworthy to be considered useful, if we ever would have been considered useful in the first place, and He forgives time and time again.

I know in my life, I’m forgiven day after day after day. I’m so undeserving, so unworthy. Yet, when I cry out to Him in distress because of my own disobedience, He’s like a Dad who disciplines his son, afterwards picks them up, dries their eyes, and says “I still love you. You’re still my son. I forgive you.”

I will never understand. However, I am beyond thankful and grateful He loves me, I am thankful and grateful He uses me. Thank Him and worship Him today and every day.
