What Do Your Actions Say?

“But I have a greater witness than John’s; for the works which the Father has given Me to finish—the very works that I do—bear witness of Me, that the Father has sent Me.” John 5:36

This verse came up in our Tuesday morning Bible Study this past week. It’s really been impressed into my mind, and I’ve thought on it all week. Jesus is talking to the religious leaders of the day. He’s telling them just who He is. He’s letting them know He is the Son of God. Notice what he tells them here. Let me summarize in “South Arkansas language”, “John the Baptist has witnessed to you who I am, but there’s a greater witness. The witness of my actions.”

I’ll sum it up briefly what I took away from this verse this week. Your actions show people who you are. Do your actions show people you are a follower of Jesus?
