Happy Anniversary

July 2, 2017. A 21-year-old preacher boy walked into Holly Springs for the first time as a pastor. I can’t exactly describe what that moment felt like. Other than the obvious, scared to death. I honestly don’t remember much about that day except what I preached. I prayed and prayed that week and asked the Lord what He’d have me to preach as my first sermon to the church He called me to. I preached “The Great Commission.” Although it has zero to very little to do with me, Holly Springs is and has always been a Great Commission minded church.

I am so very thankful to Holly Springs over these last 7 years. Things look different than they did 7 years ago. Some have gone on to be with the Lord that I’ll remember forever. Many of us have laughed and cried together. Experienced highs and lows. You’ve seen me at my worst and at my best. There will always be highs and lows but, Lord willing, we will continue in the fight and do whatever it takes to win souls to Jesus.

Thank you and I love you. -Bro. Cody
