It’s Mother’s Day!

It’s Mother’s Day!

Contrary to what some may think, it’s very hard, at least for me, to put something into words that would truly show how important mothers are. Especially a good, strong, Godly mother. The best place that I know to go, is where I always go, to Jesus. Jesus shows us the importance of a mother and how we should treat our mothers.

Jesus, bloody and beaten, scorned and naked, nailed to a cross and drawing his last few breaths, thought of his mother. As he hung dying on the cross for mine and your sins, he called out to John his disciple. He said “woman behold your son; son behold your mother.” In essence what he said to John was, “Take care of my mother.”

Mothers are a precious gift from God. You may not always agree with them, and sometimes relationships get rocky even with those we love.
Whether your mother is still with you or your mother has gone on, thank God for her today and every day.
