What Do We Think When We Think of Christmas?

“FOR unto us a child is born, unto us a son is GIVEN” Isaiah 9:6

When we think about Christmas we think about chilly weather, certain food, certain smells, decorations, gifts, friends and family. None of which are bad things, in fact, most are good things. However, most importantly I pray we think about the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ. What I would give to be one of those shepherds in that field that wonderful night. When the angel came to them and announced the birth. Then the multitude of angels singing. Can you imagine the sight?! When I think about that day, the most wonderful birth of the most wonderful savior, I can’t help but think about what was born that day.

LOVE was born that day, HOPE was born that day, and as I hinted at with the bold words in the title, FORGIVENESS was born that day. Remember Jesus this time of year and every day. It’s because of his birth that day that we are FORGIVEN.

I’m so proud of the fact that I get to spend Christmas Eve with my wonderful church family! I love you all and I’m glad you’re here!
